Persuading and Never Retreat try again in Suwannee River

Mike Welsch|Feb 03, 2011

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. -- The connections of Persuading and Never Retreat should be happy to see Justaroundmidnight running in the Gulfstream Turf rather than coming back against fillies and mares in Saturday’s $150,000 Suwannee River.

Persuading and Never Retreat finished second and third, respectively, behind Justaroundmidnight in the Marshua’s River and top an 11-horse field, including one also-eligible, in the Grade 3 Suwannee River.

Cherokee Queen, fourth in the Marshua’s River, Deputy Darling, Miss Blakely, It’s Tea Time, Musical Rain, Project Rose, Miss World, and Trix in the City complete the field. Toocleverforwords was entered main track only.

It’s Tea Time is the class of the field, having finished fourth in the Grade 1 Spinster and fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic to close out her 2010 season.
