Perfect to Please by a head in Cherokee Nation Classic Cup
Perfect to Please was up for a head win over Rookie Season in the $55,000 Cherokee Nation Classic Cup on Tuesday at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla. It was another length back in third to Tuff Kid.
The Classic Cup was a one-mile and 70-yard race for 3-year-olds and up bred in Oklahoma.
Perfect to Please ($13) tracked fractions of 23.61 seconds for the opening quarter, 47.12 for the half-mile and 1:11.32 for six furlongs, and covered the distance on a fast track in 1:41.77.
Curtis Kimes was aboard the winner for trainer Veronica Griggs.
Perfect to Please is a son of Pleasantly Perfect who races for Elada Kirk. He has now won 12 of 63 starts and has earned $404,766.
