Tiffany Gold, a 7-year-old gelding who had been freshened since Feb. 2 after facing some of the fastest horses on the grounds, scored a 14 1/2-length victory in a $5,000 starter allowance on March 31. It was the 11th win in 33 career starts for Tiffany Gold, trained by Tim Kreiser.

* Charles Town shippers taking subtle yet distinct class drops should be considered ready to win when they show up in the entries. On the March 31 program, Gambler's Prospect ($10.40), beaten 42 lengths in his last two starts, against $3,500 and $3,000 claimers in West Virginia, faced similarly priced runners in race 3 and scored by a length for Henry Worcester.

One race later, Apalachee's Native ($9.40), beaten nine lengths for $3,000, won by 2 1/4 lengths for a $3,500 tag for trainer Don Roberson.

* Bettors, aware that trainer Todd Beattie has a 35 percent strike rate with first-time starters the past two years, jumped all over 3-year-old filly Diana's Dream ($5.60), who won by 2 1/2 lengths going 5 1/2 furlongs on March 30.
