Had an absolutely atrocious trip for the second time in a row in this one, bottled up down inside with no place to go for much of the stretch, seemingly with run.

Ashleys Magens Bay

Trainer: Forrest Kaelin

Last race: Jan. 6, 6th

Finish: 4th by 5 1/2

Beyer: 50

Came into this debut sprint with a very nice string of works but a slow start cost her any chance; still, she showed resilience by making a big middle move to reach contention before she flattened out late.

Gabo

Trainer: Lindsey Raines

Last race: Jan. 22, 6th

Finish: 3rd by 4 1/4

Beyer: 56

Came flying late for the show here as he was switched to the turf off a deceptively good third on the main track when last seen; perhaps this is his preferred surface after all.
