Taken off the pace for some reason here and that cost him, as the race was light on speed to begin with and he couldn't gain on the winner, who was forwardly placed from the start; has the speed to stay closer next time and he'll be tough if he is able to use it.

Solid try in defeat here behind a quintessential two-speed exacta, as the only two in the race controlled the tempo from the start; this filly did well to rally for the show and she can make amends in her return given a better pace scenario.

Not only had trouble at the start and again in the lane but she also was against the race flow, which gave the edge to the pacesetters thanks to a lack of early zip in this field; may be good enough to run down the right field given some help up front next time.
