Well bet despite not having started since May at Hastings, and while he came up short here he was left with a lot to do after getting caught well off the early pace. He made a middle move to reach contention before he flattened out late but figures to improve next time with this race under his belt.

Ran a big race here behind the winner, Exchequer, who was left as the only real speed in the field after scratches. Juan Pablo was last in this field of five early on but made a nice run off the turn, splitting horses and closing ground late to finish clear of the rest for the place.

Finished off the board in this sprint but he didn't have much chance to rally, as it was a fairly paceless field. He's better than this running line may indicate, and given an improved race flow he can make amends in his return against non-winners in six months.
