By Kenny Peck    BEST BET: Fun Paddy (6th race)     First Race 1. I Aint Tellin 2. Chief of Joy 3. No Regrets I AINT TELLIN was moving best of all through the lane behind the winner in that last one, and though his lack of positional speed makes that type of effort a perennial possibility he may have found the right field to run down here, as he fits well in terms of Beyers and he figures to get plenty of pace help; clean start would help the cause some. CHIEF OF JOY is another who figures to benefit from the expected race flow; he comes out of the same race as the top pick, where he made a mid-race move before tiring. NO REGRETS seemed to be in a very good spot in that last one but he once again settled for the place; not worth a relatively short price on the win end, given the overall record, but surely one to consider strongly for the back end of exotics.   Second Race 1. Golden V C 2. Wild Enough 3. Large GOLDEN V C showed speed in both of his two starts to date and though he tired in those sprints he could go a long way here if he's able to shake loose vs. this seemingly paceless field; dangerous if allowed that luxury for the first time in his short career. WILD ENOUGH is kin to two starters, both minor winners, and he has been working steadily toward his debut; faces what looks to be an average field for the class and level, and he figures to be overlooked in the wagering thanks to low-profile connections. LARGE has some of the best figures in the field, including his last couple when in against richer, and now gets Lasix; logical enough, though a fairly short price looms.   Third Race 1. Clearing Waivers 2. Eyes of Glory 3. Battle Creek CLEARING WAIVERS is out of a dam who posted her lone career win on the turf, and though her only starter to date, Franco, was best on the dirt, he was also best around two turns; works suggest he has some ability and the barn is more than capable with firsters and debuting routers. EYES OF GLORY is the one to beat on the class drop, and coming off a turf bow where he had enough trouble to claim an excuse; angle seekers will like the fact that this is his first time for a tag and third start off the layoff. BATTLE CREEK rallied well for the show after a slow start left him well off a mild pace, and thus too much to do; alert getaway can make all the difference for him today.   Fourth Race 1. Margie's Rouxbee 2. Unbridledmoonlight 3. Foot Rub Love MARGIE'S ROUXBEE rates a tepid call in an inscrutable maiden claimer on the strength of her early speed, as she may be able to get clear in the opening stages; she was up the track in her local debut but she was bumped around at the break there, and she could be with the pace in this one if she gets away cleanly. UNBRIDLEDMOONLIGHT makes her seasonal debut in a sprint after routing on the turf in her career bow last summer, making this look like a prep, but she does have some interesting works showing, and the barn does well second time out; expecting her to show more than she did first time out. FOOT RUB LOVE may well be the one to beat as she makes her 12th career start, as she's at her lowest level yet and she has fairly steady recent figures; relative lack of speed and expected short price make her one to try to beat, however.   Fifth Race 1. Quality Step 2. Projected 3. Power Walker QUALITY STEP has back figures which put him in the mix with the back-classy favorite in this claimer, and he should be given every chance to run to those Beyers given the PROJECTED race flow; he's been in very good form since the meet began late last year and he comes off a very good 2nd last time, when he endured a wide trip and had to contend with slow early fractions. PROJECTED lost his best chance when he as boxed in through the lane last time, and he's now down in class as he ships from Gulfstream to Tampa; that's a recipe for a short price but he's certainly very dangerous at this level and has to be considered the one to beat. POWER WALKER has won two straight at this level, and he's back from a freshening for high-percentage connections; likes to be close but he can also rate, as he showed in that last one.   Sixth Race 1. Fun Paddy 2. Lady Love 3. Blazing Brooke FUN PADDY was no threat in her last two starts on the main track but both of those races were against better, and the resulting Beyers make her a threat at this reduced level; lack of speed leaves her at the mercy of the pacesetters but given an honest tempo she has license to make the last run. LADY LOVE and BLAZING BROOKE ran one-two in their last meeting, with the former winning with a strong stretch run; she's going to be heard from in the lane once again despite the class rise but the latter does have a solid shot at turning the tables, as she moves all the way inside and she has more tactical speed than either of the top two selections.   Seventh Race 1. Summer Love 2. All Others Follow 3. Windfall Profit SUMMER LOVE was behind a couple of these same runners in her debut but she showed more speed than those runners, who benefited from the swift pace to rally through the lane and get checks; now makes her second career start for trainer Michael Stidham, who does well with such runners, and her recent works suggest she'll improve with a race under her belt. ALL OTHERS FOLLOW debuts for trainer Chad Brown, making her a threat by default, given the barn's success with turf firsters, and she also lures top rider Antonio Gallardo; first starter from the dam, who raced only once, and young sire See the Stars is off to a solid start with his firsters (five-for-22). WINDFALL PROFIT certainly improved with the addition of Lasix in her latest, her first start of the year, closing to just miss despite mild splits up front; clearly a threat off that line, and for the barn (trainer Shug McGaughey is clicking at 44% at the meet), but she draw wide and could be a "bounce" candidate in her second start off the break.   Eighth Race 1. Cuestion de Tiempo 2. Lost in Limbo 3. Philosophy CUESTION DE TIEMPO was a beaten favorite when last seen but he hardly ran a bad race, rallying for the place after sitting off the pace inside; should once again be well spotted off the pacesetters, and a rapid pace seems assured given the presence of several confirmed speeds. LOST IN LIMBO is another who figures to benefit from the expected pace scenario; he has been away since October but he's a proven turf sprinter and trainer Thomas Proctor does well with horses coming back off this type of layoff. PHILOSOPHY may be facing better than he faced in his latest but he merits respect off the Beyer he posted in that easy score; will be forwardly placed from the start but looms tough if he's able to avoid a race-long duel.   Ninth Race 1. Wowee 2. Vaunt 3. Romantic Gizmo WOWEE ran well in defeat in each of her last two starts at this level, including her latest, when she was close up to a quick early tempo; may be able to get to the lead this time, as she goes a little longer and there's not a lot of proven pace in this field. VAUNT will make her dirt debut here but the class drop and the steady form -- albeit turf form -- will mean she's well bet despite inexperience over this surface, and at this distance; that said, she'd be no real surprise, as she has run well in all three of her starts to date (two placings and a win). ROMANTIC GIZMO was a very good 2nd under these conditions in her latest, as she rushed up some after a slow start and then rallied late in a fairly paceless sprint; will be closer in the opening stages today, assuming a better start.
