Peck: Saratoga pick three play for Wednesday, Aug. 12
A look at the last pick three of the day at Saratoga on Wednesday:
RACE 8: VILLAGE WARRIOR was unable to last going 1 5/8 miles when loose on the lead back in October at Belmont, but he may be able to back down the fractions further in this 1 3/4-mile test. TACTICUS ran well in extended races in England. TURCO BRAVO and MICROMANAGE are going to be tough and are probably worth using, but they may be overbet. As such, I'll try to beat them on the main tickets.
A's: 7, 8
B's: 2,4
C's: NONE

RACE 9: Really like REGARDEZ in this spot, as her last race was better than it may first appear. She was forced to race behind a slow pace, and had to move prematurely. RADIATOR wants longer than she got in her latest and should improve off that run. CHOCOLATIER makes her return off a short layoff for trainer Chad Brown, who (of course) does well off that angle.
A's: 6
B's: 5
C's: 1
RACE 10: ACCORD has license to improve with the addition of blinkers, as the barn has decent stats with such runners. SWEPT ASHORE makes her first start for a tag. She goes from 5 1/2 furlongs to a mile, and trainer Danny Gargan excels with stretch-outs. KITTEN'S ANGEL is another dropping from MSW company. EGYPTIAN MAGIC has speed and should be prominent from the start.
A's: 4, 9
B's: 2, 7
C's: NONE
