Peck: Pick three play for Gulfstream on Sunday, March 15
Focusing in on a mid-card pick three:
Race 7
CITATIONAL (#8) has been training splendidly of late, presumably while wearing blinkers, which he'll race with for the first time today. He's a key for me in the opening leg of this pick three and the lone "A" in the field. Backups on "B" and "C" tickets will include WHITMAN'S POETRY (#3), PRIVATE RELATIONS (#4), HAY OATS AND WATER (#11), and THATCHER STREET (#12).
A's: 8
B's: 11, 12
C's: 3, 4

Race 8
INDIAN BRUT (#5) is pretty obvious, but he's just too tough to go against. Those looking for negatives will point to consecutive losses as an odds-on favorite, but the Beyers he posted in those spots make him very tough here. Moreover, he could be the main speed in a race lacking same, giving him not only an edge in figures but in race flow, and this type is exceptionally difficult to beat. Not using any "B’s"; however, I'll take some insurance with DANCE CHAMPION (#1), TAPIDOR (#4), and HY KODIAK WARRIOR (#7).
A's: 5
B's: NONE
C's: 1, 4, 7
Race 9
This is a pretty competitive turf route on the surface, but a closer look reveals that SEEKING HER GLORY (#3) may rate an edge based on the fact that she appears to have a pace edge as the primary pacesetter, as the rest of the field is comprised largely of closers. That gives her the distinction of being the lone "A" play, but I'll also include EMPRESS MAKER (#1), FASHION FUND (#2), and TAPNFIRE (#6).
A's: 3
B's: 1, 2, 6
C's: NONE
