Peck: Pick five for Breeders' Cup Saturday card
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLEHit the relatively chalky pick four (races 6-9) yesterday in the Breeders' Cup, so we'll parlay that return ($278.20) into today's pick five, which begins with race 7 and culminates with the Breeders' Cup Classic:
RACE 7: IMPERIAL HINT has been very sharp in 2018, winning all three of his starts at this distance in comfortable fashion. He obviously meets better in the Sprint, but he's the one to catch and beat. LIMOUSINE LIBERAL was behind a couple of these last time, but he had a good amount of traffic trouble. ROY H won this race last year and comes into this year's edition off a very similar pattern. WHITMORE could be up in time given a clean trip and swift splits. PROMISES FULFILLED is the main speed.

B's: 1, 2, 5
C's: NONE
RACE 8: The Mile does not feature a great deal of obvious speed, and that works to the advantage of OSCAR PERFORMANCE, who took advantage of a similar situation when he won the Woodbine Mile last time out. Of the Euros, it does seem that HAPPILY and EXPERT EYE may have enough speed to stay close, and that will be an edge if the pace is, in fact, controlled.

B's: 3, 7
C's: NONE
RACE 9: ABEL TASMAN was virtually eliminated at the start of the Zenyatta last time, as a slow break cost her position and ultimately any chance as the prohibitive favorite. She can atone in the Distaff with a clean getaway. MONOMOY GIRL was disqualified for drifting in the Cotillion, but she ran a big race, perhaps the best effort of her career. She's wide here, but her tactical speed should ensure she once again works out a trip.

RACE 10: ENABLE, a winner of nine of 10 career starts, will be singled on many tickets given her dominance in Europe and her game score in the Arc de Triomphe. But SADLER'S JOY is a sneaky longshot for trainer Tom Albertrani, as he has been against the race flow in recent losses, and he was a good fourth in the 2017 Breeders' Cup Turf. WALDGEIST merits a long look and may be the best shot at upsetting the favorite among the Euros.
A's: 2
B's: 11, 12
C's: NONE
RACE 11: ACCELERATE is clearly easy to like in the Classic despite the wide post, but while he's tough to leave off, the outside draw makes it difficult to take a strong stand with him. WEST COAST ran well for second behind that runner in the Awesome Again Stakes and may have the best shot at an upset, but ROARING LION is an interesting longshot given the likely pace scenario, the price, and his sharp recent form, albeit on turf.
