Peck: Late pick four for Preakness card
Sloppy track? Sure. But Pimlico's late pick four is still playable, with a stand on a non-favorite in the Sir Barton the key:
RACE 10: RED DRAGON TATTOO had little chance to last after pressing the pace in the Carter, but he should get a better pace scenario today. LEWISFIELD has consistent figures, and though he's quick, he can also rate and make one run. SWITZERLAND has been very sharp this year and is easy to like despite the step up. LONG HAUL BAY could fall into a perfect trip behind a quick, contested pace.
A's: 3, 4, 9
B's: 5
C's: NONE
RACE 11: Wide-open edition of the off-the-turf The Very One, with a good amount of speed signed on. Using them all is the best option.
A's: 3, 4, 7
B's: 1, 2, 9, 11, 13
C's: NONE
RACE 12: Going to take a stand with PONY UP, who was an impressive third in the Lexington, against favorite Ax Man. The former closed nicely there and figures to get at least as good a setup here, which should put him in position to make a strong impact late.

RACE 13: Would love to get cute in the Preakness, but it seems to come down to the two favorites, GOOD MAGIC and JUSTIFY. The latter is the most likely winner off a dominant win in the Kentucky Derby, but the former hardly ran a poor race behind him and could have been hindered by the sloppy going. Using Good Magic as an "A" in an attempt to inject some value into this sequence.
