RACE 5: The scratch of heavy favorite Day by Day obviously completely changes the complexion of this sprint from every possible aspect. SUZIE'SSTEPPINOUT and CAUGHT UP IN YOU are clearly the main beneficiaries, as they become the favorites now, but it's still a murky race from the perspective of pace, as RUSSIAN ROULETTE and SWEET DADDIO are now the primary speeds, and SWEETLY MAID has some early zip. I'll use them all in some capacity with a push on the two likely favorites, who enjoy a Beyer edge. :: To stay up to date, follow us on: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter RACE 6: Looking for some separation here with AMERICAN DRIVEN, who could be the main speed in his first start with Lasix. There's not a whole lot of obvious pace in this field and he did run a very big race from a tough post in his debut. If he did in fact bleed in his latest that's an obvious excuse, and he was also in against better there. I'll also include OLD FORT and PRIVILEGIO as "B" plays. RACE 7: LUNDQVIST merits respect based on his current form but he's largely been on turf, and while he has had some success on the main track he is probably better on the green. I'll use him but will key on CIRCLE AWAY, an upgrade candidate off a pace excuse in his latest, and GUERRON, who ran deceptively well in his latest when he moved prematurely but continued well to the wire. RACE 8: The final race of the sequence will feature the deepest spread for me. PARADISE ISLAND and HONEY DONT are tough to separate, making it seem wise to use both in equal strength, but I'll also include FALSE INFO as an "A" play in the hopes that he takes another step forward after a career-best Beyer in his latest. BARREL OF STOUT and VINTNER are "B" plays. RACE 5 A: 1, 7 B: 3, 6 C: 2, 4, RACE 6 A: 5 B: 6, 9 RACE 7 A: 6, 8 B: 1 RACE 8 A: 1, 3, 9 B: 2, 6
