RACE 6: BEST PERFORMANCE was closing well in the late stages of the Miss Grillo despite some slow splits up front. HAPPILY has won four of her last five and she has the best Timeform figures of the Europeans. CAPLA TEMPTRESS overcame trouble to win the Natalma. RUSHING FALL has the top Beyers of the American fillies, and she's the main stretch threat here.

RACE 7: SHARP AZTECA will likely be loose on the lead, and his stock rises if speed has been carrying well over the main track. But MOR SPIRIT did beat him rather easily in the Met Mile, and though he's been idle since that June romp he clearly has to be respected off that effort, and 117 Beyer.

RACE 8: MENDELSSOHN did well to rally for the place in his latest but he also has the early zip to stay close if need be. JAMES GARFIELD has a decent late kick and some of the better Timeform figures in the field. HEMP HEMP HURRAY was a beaten favorite in the Summer Stakes at Woodbine but he turned in a solid effort in defeat. I'll also include MASAR on lesser tickets.

RACE 9: STELLAR WIND is a prolific winner with solid, steady Beyers and the tactical speed to work out a favorable trip. ELATE is clearly coming into this race on a high, posting two very sharp victories while still apparently on the improve, and earning rave reviews from clockers all week. FOREVER UNBRIDLED will be rolling late under John Velazquez, who is 2 for 2 on this mare. She was third in last year's epic running of the Distaff. PARADISE WOODS could be loose on the lead and may get brave if able to back down the fractions. Merits inclusion as a backup, at the very least.
