Peck: Gulfstream pick four for Saturday, Feb. 7

RACE 10
Going as deep as possible in this opening leg of the pick four since the Suwannee River drew a very competitive field, and it likely will come down to trips: SKYLANDER GIRL is the speed from the rail; BITTY KITTY handled a soft course two back, and the turf may have some give Saturday; SCAMPERING is very consistent; STARSTRUCK has some of the better Beyer Speed Figures in the field; NELLIE CASHMAN has back figures that give her a shot; SANDIVA is a threat if she runs back to that last one; CAY DANCER had no chance behind that pace last time; WHITE ROSE is dangerous off the bench (8).

RACE 11
MIDNIGHT CELLO should appreciate this move back to a mile in his first start off the claim. VALID was defeated at a fairly short price in the Hal's Hope last time, but he didn't have the easiest of trips. RACE DAY merits respect despite the class rise, as he was sharp in that well-graded optional claimer (3).

RACE 12
MSHAWISH was game in the Fort Lauderdale, and the resulting Beyer gives him strong credibility. SLUMBER was off the board as the favorite in the W.L. McKnight, but he moved prematurely in that 12-furlong event, and he figures to run to his best figures here with a better-timed run (2).

RACE 13
LEA is easy to like and is a must-use in this sequence, but I'll also include PROTONICO at an expected square price. The latter seems to be on the improve for Todd Pletcher and could be a big threat if he's ready off the bench (2).
