Peck: Gulfstream pick four play for Saturday, Jan. 10
RACE 2: BYE BYE BELLA (#5) stands out here off the last couple of figures she has earned, and this is not a deep group of maiden claimers. She closed to just miss in her latest despite a slow pace and her main rival in here, Natasha's Jewel -- who goes long on the dirt for the first time after losing ground in sprints in her last two -- figures to help produce at least honest splits.

RACE 3: ULANBATOR (#1) returns from a short rest and will be a big factor if able to run back to his last couple of Beyers. DAWLY (#2) didn't fire in a Claiming Crown event last time but this is a much better spot for him, and his back Beyers shine. Have to use COMMISSIONER (#4) given his resume but he's hardly a cinch off the layoff and he figures to be an underlay. DUDEMAN (#6) was unable to last on the lead last time but may be better today with a stalking trip.
A's: 1, 2, 4
B's: 6
C's: NONE
RACE 4: MOM'Z LAUGH (#1) is an obvious horse to use, having hit the board in each of her first two starts. But ZIA (#5) is worth a look at a long price, as his best sprint figures fit, even if they were on Woodbine's synthetic strip. TAR AND FEATHER (#7) didn't run badly in that debut try. CASSIDYS VALENTINE (#8) has a couple of works that strongly suggest she has some ability.
A's: 5, 8
B's: 1, 7
C's: NONE
RACE 5: NO ONE IS LIKE ME (#4) has dangerous speed and is the one to catch and beat. MITOTE (#8) is down in class and has competitive figures. WOV (#9) sports a sharp work for her first start since November. ZAMARATA (#2) has had his chances but this may finally be the right field for her.
A's: 4, 9
B's: 8
