Pebbles, Forever Together rescheduled for Sunday

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The Grade 3, $175,000 Pebbles Stakes and the $150,000 Forever Together Stakes have been rescheduled for Sunday after being postponed when the final seven races on last Sunday’s card were canceled due to high winds.

Entries for those races will be taken and redrawn on Wednesday.

Furthermore, the Pebbles will be run at 1 1/16 miles on the outer turf course instead of one mile on the inner turf. Jockeys have expressed concern about the condition of the inner turf course and Sunday was scheduled to be the final day of use for that course this year. NYRA had extended turf racing through Sunday but is utilizing only the outer turf course for just two races each day.
