Pay the Man much the best

Pay the Man ($5.80) destroyed a field of Ohio-bred 3-year old fillies by six lengths in the $100,000 Queen City Oaks at River Downs.

"I was surprised they let me go out so slow," jockey Ricardo Feliciano said of Pay the Man's opening quarter in 24.40 seconds. "She was all about her business today. I looked over my shoulder and didn't see anybody coming at the eighth pole. She had a lot left. We saved something for next time."

Pay the Man, trained by Miguel Feliciano, ran 1 1/8 miles on the fast main track in 1:52.40.
