Parx cancels Tuesday card after track freezes

Parx Racing canceled its 10-race Tuesday program because of track conditions and wind-chill conditions, according to Sal Sinatra, racing secretary at the Bensalem, Pa., track.

“The track was wet yesterday and froze up overnight,” Sinatra said. “We actually might’ve been okay by the first race (12:25 p.m. Eastern), but another factor was that the wind chill is in the single digits. We just didn’t want to take any chances, so we called off the races early enough to give everybody the notice they need.”
