Paragallo to give $125k to causes

Ernie Paragallo, part owner of the 1995 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner, Unbridled's Song, will donate a total of $125,000 to Alex's Lemonade Stand, a cancer research charity, and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

Alex's Lemonade Stand was begun by a girl named Alex Scott before she died of neuroblastoma at age 8 in 2004. The fund has gotten a boost from Preakness winner Afleet Alex's connections, who have donated some of the colt's purses to the charity.

Paragallo's contribution will come from the proceeds of a season to Unbridled's Song, who stands for a $125,000 fee this year.
