Paladin out of training again

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Paladin, the undefeated Grade 2 Risen Star winner who had resumed light training earlier this meet, has been taken out of training again, trainer Chad Brown said. The issue is not related to the condylar fracture he suffered during the winter that kept him out of the Triple Crown.
“He was in some light training for a month. When I started to pick up his training he wasn’t moving quite right behind,” Brown said. “We got him checked out. He has a minor issue. He’s going to be rested again and he is going to go back into training. We still plan on racing hm next year.”
Paladin, a son of Gun Runner, was beaten a head by Renegade in a maiden race last October but was elevated to first when the stewards disqualified Renegade for interference. Paladin then beat Renegade by two lengths in the Grade 2 Remsen at Aqueduct last December.
