Palacein goes wire to wire in Wilma Mankiller Stakes
Palacein became a stakes winner Monday when she led throughout for a one-length victory over Take Me Serious in the $50,000 Wilma Mankiller at Will Rogers Downs. It was another 2 1/4 lengths back in third to Always Angels.
The Wilma Mankiller was a six-furlong race for fillies and mares.

Palacein ($7) set fractions of 22.16 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.11 for the half-mile before going on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:10.59.
Floyd Wethey Jr. was aboard for trainer Scott Young.
Palacein came into the Wilma Mankiller off a runner-up finish to Grade 2 winner Taxed in a two-other-than allowance at Oaklawn Park.
Cimarron TTT bred and races Palacein, an Oklahoma-bred daughter of Palace Malice who has now won 6 of 14 starts for earnings of $195,553.
Racing resumes Tuesday at Will Rogers with the running of the $50,000 Highland Ice.
