Pair of double-digit winners lead to Friday pick six carryover
?q=100)
The pick six at Aqueduct went unsolved for a second consecutive card resulting in a carryover of $101,783 into Friday’s card.
There was a $27,977 carryover following Sunday’s card and there was $129,449 wagered into the sequence on Thursday. Wins by Timia ($49.60) in the second leg and Fluid Situation ($26.40) in the third leg pretty much extinguished most of the live tickets. Even after odds-on favorite Dancing Dean ($3.20) won race 7, none of the runners were covered in race 8, won by the favorite My Life Story ($9.20). The sequence began with Skylander ($9.50) taking race 3 after favored Runnin’ Ray stumbled and unseated jockey Jose Lezcano.
The consolation payout (5 of 6) Thursday was $878.
There are 10 races on Friday’s card which means the pick six begins with race 5 (2:46 p.m. Eastern), the $150,000 Glen Cove Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, a race that is expected to scratch down to a five-horse field headed by Ellen Jay. Those expected to scratch are Kairyu, Twirling Queen, and Progeny.
There are three other turf races in the pick six sequence including the $135,000 Carle Place Stakes for 3-year-old male.
First post Friday is 12:40 p.m.
