Our Flash Drive has easy time winning turf debut in Ontario Colleen

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Our Flash Drive ($6.90) was a deceptively easy winner of her turf debut in Sunday’s Grade 3, $150,000 Ontario Colleen for 3-year-old fillies at Woodbine.
Our Flash Drive tracked the leading Sweet Souper Sweet through the turn in the one-turn mile, and then took control in the stretch before coasting home on top by 1 1/2 lengths, in a time of 1:34.76,
Seasons rallied from sixth to end up second. She was followed by Speightstown Shirl, Perseverancia, favored Misspell, I Get It, and Sweet Souper Sweet.
Jockey Patrick Husbands said Our Flash Drive settled nicely for her first trip around Woodbine’s roomy main turf.
“She’s a relaxed horse,” Husbands said. “She’s the type of filly, what you want to do, she lets you do it. She puts herself in the race, and you decide what you want to do with her.”
A daughter of Ghostzapper, Our Flash Drive was the fourth winner on the Queen’s Plate card for leading trainer Mark Casse. She earned $90,000 for Charlotte Weber’s Live Oak Plantation.
