Our Choice rallies from far back

Our Choice closed from more than 10 lengths off the pace to win the $125,000 Red Hedeman by 1 1/4 lengths at Sunland Park on Saturday. Etoile de Dome, a filly who was prominent throughout, finished second in the one-mile race for 2-year-olds bred in New Mexico.

Our Choice ($9.40) covered the distance in 1:37.92. Alfredo Juarez Jr. was aboard the colt for Triple AAA Ranch and trainer Dwain Grissom.

Also on the program, Ketel One ($6.20) forged to a neck win over Remember Me Rose in the $400,000 Championship, a Grade 1 for Quarter Horses. Freddie Martinez rode the winner for R.D. Hubbard and trainer Paul Jones.
