Oratory moves from Maryland to Texas

Oratory, winner of the Grade 2 Peter Pan in 2005, has relocated from Maryland to stand at Eureka Thoroughbred Farm in Fredericksburg, Tex., in 2012, Eureka has announced. He will stand for $3,500 fee. The 10-year-old Pulpit horse is the sire of such stakes performers as Myrtle’s Gray, D’Oratory, and Grandiloquent. He’s out of multiple stakes winner Arrested Dreams, by Dehere, and is a half-brother to stakes winner Preach It.

Grade 2 winner Ventana has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Dana Point Farm in Lenhartsville, Pa., but does not yet have a fee, according to The Blood-Horse. The 6-year-old horse is by Dana Point resident Toccet and earned $383,106 in a career highlighted by four wins and two graded scores in 21 starts. Ventana is out of the Polish Numbers winner Full Figure, also the dam of 2008 stakes winner Miss Challenge.
