Goldikova will have company on her Chantilly-to-Santa Anita journey in search of a second Breeders' Cup Mile title. The world's highest rated miler, Goldikova will be accompanied on her trip by stablemate Only Green, who will run in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint. Employed by Freddie Head as a pacesetter for Goldikova in her victories in the Prix Rothschild and the Prix Jacques le Marois, Only Green won for the second time at the listed race level in her most recent start on Oct. 15 at Chantilly, when she took the seven-furlong Prix de Saint-Cyr. On May 14, the 3-year-old Only Green won the Prix de Pont-Neuf, a similarly conditioned event at Longchamp. Both of those victories came on soft ground. Like Goldikova, Only Green is owned by the Wertheimer brothers. She is not without experience on synthetic surfaces as she won her maiden in a 7 1/2-furlong allowance on the Deauville all-weather track on March 20. She is a half-sister to Occupandiste, the winner in 1997 of the 6 1/2-furlong, Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest and the seven-furlong, Group 1 Prix de la Foret, the race in which Goldikova finished third this month to Varenar and Sweet Hearth. Sweet Heart is also being pointed to the Filly and Mare Sprint.
