One More Wild Ride aims for third straight win Wednesday

One More Wild Ride goes for her third straight win and should get it if she breaks on top in a $20,000 claiming race for 3-year-old fillies that will serve as Wednesday’s feature at Northlands Park. The six-furlong sprint drew five horses and kicks off an eight-race program that begins at 6:30 p.m. Mountain.
Trained by Dale Saunders, One More Wild Ride is coming off a two-length win over older fillies and mares in a $25,000 optional-claiming race Sept. 20. Inca Beauty, who finished third in that race, came back to romp by 7 1/2 lengths in a one-mile, $25,000 optional claimer for fillies and mares Oct. 3. It was the 10th win for Inca Beauty.
One More Wild Ride led all the way in her win over Brookes Magic in a $20,000 claiming race for 3-year-old fillies in her previous win Sept. 10, and she dueled early before drawing off in her last start. She appears to have the best speed in the field and seems to be peaking at the end of her sophomore season.
Damario Bynoe retains the mount.
KEY CONTENDERS
One More Wild Ride (Last 3 Beyers: 57-54-20)
◗ She faded badly going 1 1/16 miles in the $48,860 Sonoma, but she rebounded nicely when she cut back to a sprint in her next start.
◗ Her Beyer Speed Figures are heading in the right direction, and she won’t mind being back with her own age group after easily handling older fillies and mares in her last start.
Holy Force (Last 3 Beyers: 48-50-61)
◗ She couldn’t keep up with One More Wild Ride in her latest start, but she was reclaimed by leading trainer Greg Tracy, and she could be dangerous with Rico Walcott picking up the mount.
DRF FORMULATOR FACT: Over the past five years, Walcott has won with 32 percent of his mounts for Tracy at Northlands Park.

Strollin Home (Last 3 Beyers: 14-42-51)

DRF FORMULATOR FACT: Over the past five years, Smith has a respectable 15 percent strike rate with horses making their second start following a layoff.
◗ She also will be adding blinkers, and over the past year, Smith has won 17 percent of the time (2 for 12) when he made the equipment change for the first time.
