HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - One Caroline remained perfect after cruising to an easy 6 1/2-length victory over Sea Chanter in Sunday's $150,000 Ramart at Gulfstream Park.\nOne Caroline, a 4-year-old daughter of Unbridled's Song, won for the fifth time in as many starts in the Grade 2 Rampart. She did so despite breaking a step slow and ducking out briefly as she moved to the lead around the opening turn of the nine furlong Rampart.\nOnce settling on the lead, One Caroline was in complete control, setting fractions of 23.31 seconds, 46.75, and 1:10.80 under jockey Edgar Prado, who had returned only hours earlier after riding the previous day in Dubai. Sea Chanter and Ginger Brew took runs at the favorite approaching the stretch but proved no match for One Caroline, who drew off without need of serious urging through the final furlong. Sea Chanter was easily second best, finishing two lengths in front of the tiring Ginger Brew.\nOne Caroline completed the distance in 1:48.88 over a "good" track and paid $3.20. \n"She did everything by herself," said Prado, who also rode One Caroline to victory in the Grade 3 Sabin earlier in the meet. "I think she is something special."\nOne Caroline is trained by Rusty Arnold for owner G. Watts Humphrey Jr.\n"The talent is unbelievable, but we still have to work on getting her relaxed," said Arnold. "She relaxes once she gets to the lead, but we need to get her relaxed before she makes the lead."\nArnold said if all went well, One Caroline would return in the Louisville Distaff at Churchill Downs on May 1.
