Om, trained by Dan Hendricks, is scheduled to race again on turf Oct. 24 at Santa Anita in the Grade 2, $200,000 Twilight Derby, which is at the same 1 1/8-mile distance as the Del Mar Derby.
Imperative, who could head to Keeneland for the Grade 2, $200,000 Fayette Stakes on Oct. 30, worked five furlongs in 1:01.60 on Wednesday for trainer Richard Baltas. Imperative was fourth most recently in the Awesome Again Stakes on Sept. 26, 7 3/4 lengths behind the victorious Smooth Roller, who is headed to the Breeders’ Cup Classic.
