Olliemyboy should handle step up in class

Olliemyboy is the selection to win his second straight Fair Grounds race in the featured seventh on Thursday. Olliemyboy is one of seven entered in a second-level allowance race also open to $40,000 claimers and carded for 1 1/16 miles on dirt.

Olliemyboy spent most of his 2020 campaign racing over the Tapeta Footings surface at Woodbine but, transferred to trainer Norm Casse, appeared to relish a move to dirt winning a first-level Fair Grounds allowance race Jan. 14 by more than four lengths. Olliemyboy has come back with two fast works since that start and might be undervalued Thursday as he steps up in class.

Brad Cox trains likely favorite Cowboy Diplomacy, who was second by a neck in a race like this in his most recent start, Dec. 18. Plus Que Parfait finished a distant second at this level last month when running into the sharp Enforceable.
