Ol Winedrinker Who captured the sixth stakes race of his career Saturday, when he closed for a 4 3/4-length win over Isn’t He Clever in the $150,000 Downs at Albuquerque Handicap. It was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third to Big Tall Paul.
The Downs at Albuquerque was the richest race of the New Mexico meet that runs through June 18.
Ol Winedrinker Who ($9.20) raced about eight lengths off the pace in the early stages of the 1 1/8-mile race as Inclined to Win took the field through an opening quarter in 22.63 seconds and a half-mile in 45.81. Rebranded took over through six furlongs in 1:10.75 as Ol Winedrinker Who advanced and went on to cover the distance on a track rated fast in 1:52.64.
Isaias Enriquez was aboard the winner for trainer Joel Marr.
