Oklahoma passes gaming bill

The Oklahoma state Senate passed a bill Wednesday that would legalize expanded gambling at racetracks, but the legislation faces an uncertain fate in the House, where legislators defeated a similar bill last year.

The bill, which passed 30-18, would allow racetracks in Oklahoma to operate electronic gambling machines already legal at the state's many tribal casinos.

The bill would legalize the machines at Remington Park, Will Rogers Downs, and Blue Ribbon Downs, but not at Fair Meadows, a state-owned track.
