Odds-on favorites Infinite Patience, Bold Arch dominate CTHS Sales Stakes
As expected, Infinite Patience had little trouble winning the fillies division of the $50,000 CTHS Sales Stakes at Hastings on Monday.
She paid $2.10 for her 11- length victory over Heidi in the mile and a sixteenth racer for 3- and 4-year-old fillies.
With Antonio Reyes aboard, the British Columbia-bred daughter of Sungold sat just off Heidi for a half-mile, assumed command at the six-furlong mark and was under wraps the rest of the way while drawing off from her overmatched rivals. Heidi finished 9 ½ lengths in front of Mi Reyna, who finished last in the three-horse field.
The final time was 1:43.36.
The only 4-year-old in the field, Infinite Patience is trained by Barbara Heads. She races for Willian Decoursey and Ryan Nugent Hopkins, who recently signed an eight-year contract extension worth $41 million with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.

It was the fifth stakes win for Infinite Patience and the $35,000 winner’s share of the purse boosted her lifetime earnings to $288,850.
Bold Arch set an honest pace on his way to a 5 1/2- length victory over At Attention in the colts and geldings division.
Bold Arch paid $3.20 and posted a fast final time of 1:42.25 in the mile and a sixteenth race for 3- and 4-year-olds. The 4-year-old son of Archarcharch was stretching out to a middle distance for the first time.
At Attention chased the winner most of the way and held on to finish 2 1/4 lengths in front of Pay My Way. Guns N Ammo completed the field.
Bold Arch is trained by John Morrison and was ridden by Silvino Morales. Bold Arch races for Morrison, Kim Morrison, and Robin Sadler.
