Ocean Downs: Track record by Nobody Knows It headlines Maryland Sire Stakes finals

Nobody Knows It, a striking chestnut with a blonde mane and tail, improved to five-for-five in her career and broke her own track record with a 1:56 effort in her $100,000 Maryland Sire Stakes final for 2-year-old filly trotters on Sunday night at Ocean Downs.
Driven by Corey Callahan, Nobody Knows It was well in front of pocket-sitter and stablemate That's It For You (Russell Foster) through fractions of 28 4/5, 57 4/5 and 1:27 before she came home in 29 seconds to defeat That's It For You by 9 1/2 lengths. Aren't I Pretty (Tony Morgan) finished third.
The 1:56 clocking lowered the previous track record of 1:56 2/5 that Nobody Knows It had set back on August 19.
Bred by owner/trainer Richard Hans, Nobody Knows It, a daughter of Betting Gangster S, has earned $91,625 and paid $2.10 to win.

Driver Roger Plante Jr. was the other star of the night as he won both $100,000 2-year-old pacing finals. He steered filly Sweet Cougar to a 1:59 2/5 triumph from first-over for breeder/co-owner/trainer Joseph Offutt and co-owner/breeder Karen Offutt, and then piloted colt Shootout to a front-stepping 1:56 2/5 victory for trainer Steve Le Blanc, co-owner/breeder Glenn Dyke and co-owners Leblanc Racing Inc. and James Stuart.
Sweet Cougar, by Cougar Hall, broke her maiden in her fifth chance and has now put away $52,775, while Shootout, a son of Wearinmysixshooter, has a summary of 5-2-0 from seven appearances and has pocketed $79,787. Sweet Cougar returned $14.20 to win, while Shootout paid $4.60 to win.
In the 2-year-old colt and gelding trot final, In The Worst Way (Corey Braden) got shuffled back from the pocket to fourth past the 1:01 3/5 half but came with a first-over bid that carried him by My Mago (Jared Moyer) in the stretch and on to a 2:03 1/5 win. He defeated Doc's Mago (Morgan) by three lengths with My Mago back in third.
