Race 1: MDSS Final – 2YO C&G Trot
Two trotters highlight this final – (2) WINGS OF WARNING and (3) MY MAGO. #2 has far and away the strongest closing kick as evidenced by last week’s :29 1/5 last quarter to mow down the leaders. Can driver Steve Smith keep him a little closer to the front? If so he’ll be very tough to beat. #3 has done nothing wrong in his brief career with two runner-up efforts.
Race 3: MDSS Final – 2YO Filly Trot
(4) NOBODY KNOWS IT is galaxies the best in here looking to go five for five in her young career. Richard Hans trainee won her two prelims by a combined 21 lengths. (1) THAT’S IT FOR YOU is much the second best in here and to be quite honest she’s the only other one in here who has shown the ability to function.
Race 5: MDSS Final – 2YO Filly Pace
This is a competitive affair that is led by (4) ALL THAT RUSTY. Herman Hagerman trainee is undefeated in three races and has the legendary Tony Morgan in the bike again. (6) IF I WIN UWIN was an easy winner in the first prelim then had too much ground to cover in round two. After being odds-on in those two races she’ll be a price tonight. (8) DAPPER DUDETTE is a legit talent from good connections who unfortunately draws a brutal post for the final. (1) SWEET COUGAR showed massive improvement in her fourth career start and draws the innermost post looking to repeat that effort. (5) R U KIDDING has hit the board in all four career tries and was a winner in the second prelim; deserves respect.
Race 7: MDSS Final – 2YO C&G Pace
Veteran trainer Steve Le Blanc has two live ones in here, including one of the probable favorites in (5) SHOOTOUT, who is looking for a sweep, and (4) FREE SHOT, who bounced back from a miscue in the first preliminary and won comfortably in his last start. (1) CASH IS BETTER was outgamed by #5 in his latest but dominated in his prior start and has a major tactical edge here starting from the rail.
