SUNDAY, JULY 19 and MONDAY, JULY 20, 2026
STATS: 9-31 / $34.40 (-$27.60)
Sunday, July 19
Race 5: Winners of 2 not more than 4 races lifetime Pace
(5) AGENT HARLEY was an afterthought earlier this season to looking like a new horse at the Ocean. 3YO Papi-Rob offspring was a pricey yearling at the sales and is starting to show that promise with a back-to-back wins in NW1 and NW2. Steps up again but looks to strike while the iron is hot. (3) TOMORROW ME and (1) BAYSIDE MAVERICK are both very logical with the inside draws. Conversely, (8) FLEET COMMANDER, a 9 1/4 length winner last week, could be done in by the draw.
Race 8: Open Handicap Pace
(7) LOU’S STARR did all he could last week but had too far to come and had to settle for second in that 1:
51 2/5 mile. Regular driver Corey Braden should be able to get moving much sooner tonight.
Monday, July 20
Race 5: NW2501 in last 4 starts Pace
(1) MASTER SPLINTER is by no means a prolific winner but he did just get collared at this level two back and he gets a driver change to Brandon Givens, who has driven very well since returning to the sulky. Fresh set of hands and rail draw may be enough to get him over the top. (3) DANGER ZONE draws into a much more favorable spot tonight and is the main threat. (6) BABES ALL IN is interesting because he sizzled around the track in his first start since March but he has to move up and move outside.
Race 11: NW3501 in last 4 starts Pace
(2) MARCO BEACH makes his second start back with a professional driver after some amateur efforts at The Meadowlands and looks to improve on that 1 for 22 seasonal record. Good spot. Meanwhile, 8/5 ML choice (3) CATTLESHARK is 0 for 17 this year but judging by his off odds in his last few races he was up against some tough stock at Harrington.
