Ocean Downs: Analysis for Sunday 6/21 and Monday 6/22
?q=100)
SUNDAY, JUNE 21 and MONDAY, JUNE 22, 2026
STATS: 5-16 / $24.20 (-$7.80)
Sunday, June 21
Race 4: NW2 races or $10,000 lifetime Pace
(4) WHOGOTMYTHUMB is a dismal 1 for 40 lifetime but that’s basically in line with his rival’s accomplishments in here. He goes second-time Lasix tonight and has shown early speed both at Ocean and Rosecroft so he figures to be up close throughout. (5) JACKS HIGH HANOVER wasn’t competitive recently at Philly but that was tougher competition than he meets here; picks up live driver Frank Milby. (2) SOUL ON FIRE ships in from the Midwest for new connections, qualified effectively, draws well and also recently added Lasix. He’ll likely be a short price and may need an acclimating start.
Race 12: NW1001 in last 4 starts Pace
This field is a combined 0 for 101 in 2026 but someone has to win. Looks like the race will be dominated by the inside horses, and (3) WALDEN WOODS may have the most upside, as he was a good second last week, his first start off a four month break. Veteran pacer pick up driver Brandon Givens, who has been popping with prices recently at Harrington. Cold exacta with (1) OH BEACH PLEASE looks good, but won’t exactly be a tax ticket; could go one-two around the track.
Monday, June 22
Race 2: NW1 race or $5,000 lifetime Pace
(3) SOMETHN IN DA AIR ships in from Harrington and joins a high-percentage barn. His front-end tries three and four back would be enough to get the job done here. (7) FAST WILLIE has steadily improved through his first three starts of his 3YO season and has some early speed to get into play at a price.
Race 9: NW2501 in last 4 starts Pace
(7) FLASH MOVE draws poorly again but he can take a lot of air and grind his way past these. He’s got a class edge on the morning-line favorite #1 Morton J, who is a 3YO with just 13 lifetime starts and was a sick scratch last out. (5) MACWOW has to step up off a loss but he can be on or near the front in the early stages. (2) MANACCOUNT had raced well the last couple of times he drew well.
