Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company postpones under-tack show

The Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company has postponed this week’s scheduled under-tack show for its March 15-16 select juvenile auction because of forecast rain and high wind. The under-tack preview had been scheduled for Thursday and Friday but now will take place on Friday and Saturday.

Under the new schedule, Hip Nos. 1-244 will breeze on Friday, and Hip Nos. 245-490 will breeze on Saturday. Both sessions will begin at 8 a.m. at the OBS facility in Ocala, Fla.

“With ideal weather forecast for Friday and Saturday, we had time built in for the change,” OBS’s general manager, Tom Ventura, said. “Buyers will be able to view the horses under similar conditions each day.”

The two-day select 2-year-old auction will take place March 15-16 starting each day at 11 a.m. the sale follows the Day of Champions races at OBS on March 14. First post for the race day is 1 p.m.
