OBS preview rescheduled for weekend

The Ocala Breeders' Sales Company has postponed its under-tack preview scheduled for Thursday and Friday due to severe weather for the Ocala, Fla., area, including a tornado warning.

The under-tack show will instead take place on Saturday and Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. The under-tack shows are previewing the OBS March select 2-year-old sale scheduled for March 16-17 at OBS in Ocala.

Thursday morning dawned with severe thunderstorms in the area, and at 9:53 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Marion County, reporting a funnel cloud 11 miles south of the Ocala airport. In a weather statement, the National Weather Service also warned of hail and gusty winds associated with the strong storms.
