OBS June: Majesticperfection colt tops one-furlong breezes

A colt from the second crop of sire Majesticperfection breezed the fastest furlong on Wednesday during the third session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. June 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age sale under-tack show.

The colt’s :9 4/5-second breeze over the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface tied him with two other horses for the overall fastest time through the halfway point of the six-day under-tack show, joining a High Cotton colt and Maimonides filly who each achieved the time on Monday.

The Majesticperfection colt is Hip No. 469, out of the stakes-winning Untuttable mare Into Reality, whose two winners from as many runners includes stakes winner Meadowood. Bred in Kentucky by Scott Dilworth, the colt hails from the family of stakes winners Marquesa Lana, Hadavision, Tequila Hero, and Laidbacklynny. He is consigned by McKathan Bros., agent.

The overall fastest two-furlong breeze time of the OBS June sale was also equaled on Wednesday, with Hip No. 509, an Into Mischief colt, covering the distance in :20 3/5 seconds. The effort tied him with a Bob and John colt who breezed on Tuesday.

Bred in Kentucky by Brandywine Farm, the colt is out of the unraced Roman Ruler mare Kiss the King, who is the dam of one winner from three foals to race. His extended family includes Grade 1 winner A Kiss for Luck and Alphabet Kisses, Chilean Group 2 winner Kissin My Love, Japanese Group 2 winner Wild Soldier, and Japanese Group 3 winner Golden Cherry. Thoroughbred Champions Training Center consigns the colt.
