OBS Florida select sale catalogs available online

Catalogs for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s March sale of selected 2-year-olds in training are available on OBS’s website, the sales company announced on Wednesday. The website features a sortable master index for the catalog and pedigree updates occurring as needed following the catalog’s print order.

A total of 345 juveniles have been cataloged for the two-day OBS March sale, set for Tuesday, March 12, and Wednesday, March 13, with both sessions beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern. The under-tack show is set for 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 7 (Hips 1-172) and Friday, March 8 (Hips 173-345). The 24th annual OBS Championship Stakes races will be run on Monday, March 11, with first post time scheduled for 1 p.m.

The iPad version of the catalog is also accessible via Equineline's Sales Catalog application. The app allows users to download and view the catalog, record notes, and utilize a search, sort, and rating function. For more information and downloads click here.

Recent OBS March sales graduates in the headlines include Revolutionary, who won the Grade 3 Withers Stakes on Feb. 2, and Itsmyluckyday, who won the Grade 3 Holy Bull Stakes on Jan. 26. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint winner Hightail and Grade 1 Alcibiades Stakes winner Spring in the Air are also recent graduates.

The 2013 sale features 2-year-olds by prominent sires such as Giant’s Causeway, Empire Maker, Speightstown, Tapit, Smart Strike, Bernardini, Ghostzapper, Hard Spun, Henny Hughes, Harlan’s Holiday, Kitten’s Joy, Malibu Moon, Medaglia d’Oro, More Than Ready, Scat Daddy, Street Cry, and Unbridled’s Song. Freshman sires featured in the sale include Colonel John, Pioneerof the Nile, and Zensational.
