Oaklawn officials head to Saratoga to recruit stables

Coady Media Officials at Oaklawn park will recruit stables at different tracks across the country for their upcoming meet.
Oaklawn racing secretary Pat Pope said Friday that officials with the Hot Springs, Ark., track are headed to Saratoga next week to recruit stables for the Oaklawn meet that opens in December.
Pope said the first condition book was to have been sent to the printer on Friday. Oaklawn’s stall applications close Sept. 18. He said the stable area opens Oct. 24.
Pope said Oaklawn officials plan to visit Del Mar in August and Kentucky and Indiana in September.
