Oak Tree Sprint purse redistributed after runner-up tests positive for Lasix
A portion of the $75,000 purse of the Oak Tree Sprint at the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, Calif., on July 2 was recently redistributed after second-place finisher Ultimate Bango tested positive for Lasix.
Lasix, a diuretic, is not permitted for use in stakes at Pleasanton.

According to a ruling published by Golden Gate stewards on Nov. 25, Ultimate Bango was disqualified from purse earnings of $15,000 and listed as unplaced. The revised order of finish for second through fifth is Carolina Mia, Our Bold Prince, Darnquick and War Games.
Ultimate Bango, owned by Mary Tucker, finished second by a head to Cool Mountain Lad in the six-furlong race.
Trainer Sam Calvario was fined $500 for the infraction, according to a separate ruling published on Nov. 25.
