After being wiped out by persistent severe weather on Sunday afternoon, the rescheduled third leg of the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 4-year-olds took place on Tuesday at Oak Grove Racing & Gaming. Each of the races carried a purse of $50,000.
In the mare trot, Yanaba (John MacDonald) yielded to sit in the pocket behind favored Eternal Lee (Andy McCarthy) past the 27 1/5 opening quarter, and then Eternal Lee would go on to click off a 54 4/5 half and a 1:24 three-quarters. In the lane MacDonald swung Yanaba to the outside of Eternal Lee, and Yanaba trotted by the leader in the closing strides on her way to a 1 1/4 length victory in a lifetime-best 1:52. Pioneer As (Tony Hall) was third.
Yanaba's time lowered the previous track record for a trotting mare at Oak Grove, set by Beltassima last year, by a full second.
The victorious daughter of Trixton is trained by Jack Rice for owners Ann-Mari Daley, Jared Daley, and Oleg Ivutin. Yanaba has compiled a record of 6-3-4 from 25 lifetime efforts, pushed her bankroll to $200,475, and returned $10.42 to win as the 4-1 second choice.
The male pace was up next and All Or Nothing (Dave Palone) carved out fractions of 26 4/5, 55 3/5, and 1:22 3/5, with I Did It Myway (McCarthy) in the two-hole. I Did It Myway moved off the pylons midway through the final turn, and although All Or Nothing turned into the stretch first and responded to Palone's urging, I Did It Myway was able to push past at the finish line to score by a nose in 1:49 2/5. Terminator (Kevin Wallis) rounded out the trifecta.
I Did It Myway is a Tony Alagna-trained son of Captaintreacherous owned by breeder Joe Sbrocco in partnership with Country Club Acres Inc., Don Latore, and Alagna And Fodera Racing. This was his 14th win from 31 starts, he has now banked $930,903 and he paid $3.02 to win as the 1-2 favorite.
Boudoir Hanover (Todd McCarthy) landed on the engine beyond the 26 4/5 quarter in the mare pace and then backed down the tempo to 56 1/5 at the half and 1:24 3/5 at three-quarters. The sprint was on to the wire in the final panel, and Boudoir Hanover got home in 27 2/5 to better Ainthesamewithoutu (Hall), who rallied from second-over, by a nose in a 1:52 mile. Lookatmyrapsheet (Atlee Bender) checked in third.
A Captaintreacherous mare, Boudoir Hanover is trained by Alagna for owners Riverview Racing LLC., Alagna Racing LLC., Caviart Farms, and D Plouffe And S Head. Bred by Riverview Breeding LLC. and Visionary Breeders LLC., Boudoir Hanover posted her tenth victory from 29 lifetime attempts, and she has now put away $899,338. The 3-5 favorite, Boudoir Hanover returned $3.28 to win.

Public choice Keg Stand (Palone) was two-wide until just before the 55 4/5 half in the male trot, but once he got command, he never relinquished it, scoring by half a length in 1:52 4/5. Longshot (Chris Lems) was second after giving way to sit in the pocket behind the eventual winner, and Just For Trix (Andy Miller) turned in a game effort from first-up to take third.
Nancy Takter trains Keg Stand, a son of Bar Hopping, for owners Black Horse Racing, Christina Takter, and John Fielding. This was his eighth career win, he has now earned $417,166, and he paid $3.86 to win as the 4-5 favorite.
