OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Due to inclement weather that will likely impact turf racing Sunday at Aqueduct, the New York Racing Association has postponed two turf stakes scheduled for Sunday and will run them next week. The $125,000 Glen Cove Stakes, for 3-year-old fillies scheduled for six furlongs, has been pushed to Thursday. It will be open to original nominees and supplements and be drawn Saturday. The Grade 3, $150,000 Knickerbocker Stakes, for older males at 1 1/8 miles, has been rescheduled for Friday. It will be open to original nominees and supplements and be drawn Sunday. There is rain in the forecast for Saturday, becoming heavier late in the day and overnight. There are five turf races scheduled for Saturday’s card. Despite the decision not to take entries Thursday for the two turf stakes scheduled for Sunday, NYRA did card three races for turf on the nine-race card that begins at 12:35 p.m. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
