NYRA to offer free shuttling from Laurel Park

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Continuing a program it began in late December for Parx horsemen, the New York Racing Association will offer free vanning for horsemen based at Laurel Park who want to run at Aqueduct from Feb. 19 to March 10. Laurel is not racing during that period.

Horsemen at Laurel are urged to make arrangements with Sal Russo of NYRA and contact him at (718) 641-4700, ext. 3029, or on his cellphone at (516) 322-0645.

Pickups from Laurel will be at 4:15 a.m. Eastern, with departure at 4:45 a.m. Departures from Aqueduct will take place after all runners have cooled out and will vary daily.

First post at Aqueduct is currently 12:50 p.m. for nine-race cards and 12:20 p.m. for 10-race cards. Beginning Feb. 25, first post at Aqueduct switches to 1:20 p.m. for nine-race cards.
