Caesars Entertainment, the gambling company, will launch an app this spring in partnership with the New York Racing Association that will offer betting on horse races, Caesars and NYRA announced on Thursday. The app, called Caesars Racebook, will offer betting on “250 racetracks,” both in the U.S. and in foreign markets, according to the release. NYRA Bets, the account-wagering platform operated by NYRA, will process the bets. :: Serious horseplayers use serious products. Sports betting has exploded across the U.S. in the wake of a 2018 Supreme Court decision allowing states to legalize the practice. Last year, NYRA partnered with BetMGM, another casino company, to offer betting on horse races through its app as well. “NYRA considers it a core responsibility to grow the sport by increasing customer access to world-class horse racing both in New York and around the country,” said David O’Rourke, NYRA’s chief executive officer. “Pairing the world-renowned Caesars brand with the rapidly growing NYRA Bets wagering platform is an ideal way to launch Caesars Racebook.”
