NTRA elects two to its board

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association on Friday said it has elected Antony Beck, the president of Gainesway Farm near Lexington, Ky., and Reynolds Bell Jr., the chairman of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, to its board of directors.

Beck will replace Robert Clay, the owner of Three Chimneys Farm, as the representative of Breeders' Cup Ltd. on the NTRA's 15-member board. Bell replaces William Heiligbrodt in the seat reserved for the owners and breeders association.

The NTRA's board is split 7-7 by representatives of racetracks and representatives of owners, breeders, and horsemen. The last seat is filled by Alex Waldrop, the NTRA's president and chief executive officer.
