Now may be the time to back Restofthestory

Gulfstream Park bettors liked Restofthestory off the shelf in her last start, but they may have been a little early. Fourth as the favorite, the 4-year-old filly stands to benefit from that needed comeback when returning Friday as a major contender in the feature race at the South Florida track.
Restofthestory, trained by Eddie Plesa Jr., is one of seven fillies and mares in a $51,000, first-level allowance that includes $7,000 in Florida-bred bonuses. The daughter of Jess’s Dream was returning from a 5 1/2-month layoff when she forced all the pace in her May 28 return in an effort that suggests she’ll fare better this time around, especially with three interim workouts beneath her.
Restofthestory will have the well-traveled Kevin Krigger aboard breaking from post 6. Dem a Wonder (post 1, Emisael Jaramillo) and Gitana (post 3, Edgar Perez), both riding two-race win streaks as an uncoupled pair from the Rohan Crichton stable, clearly are her top opposition.

The nominal feature goes as race 7, directly preceding a $43,000 allowance restricted to Florida-breds. Dean Delivers, a Stonehedge homebred making his first start since late March, figures as the one to beat, even while facing older horses for the first time, in that first-level race at six furlongs.
Both allowances are part of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 (races 4-9), which offers a guaranteed pool of $100,000. The Rainbow 6 jackpot was emptied last Friday by a solo winning ticket paying $118,521.
Twilight first post is 2:55 p.m. Eastern, with race 7 going at 6:08 and race 8 at 6:40.
There is no turf racing at Gulfstream until further notice as the course continues to undergo another extensive renovation.
Shifty She due back
Shifty She, a winner in 7 of 13 starts, could be back in the Saffie Joseph Jr. barn at Palm Meadows next week after getting about 60 days off at an Ocala farm with a minor injury.

Shifty She was being pointed to the Grade 1 Just a Game last month at Belmont Park when sidelined, according to co-owner Chris Pallas.
“She’s getting a final exam Saturday,” Pallas said.
Meanwhile, White Abarrio, another star in the Joseph barn, continues to train forwardly at Gulfstream for the Haskell on July 23 at Monmouth Park. The gray colt breezed a half-mile in 48.40 seconds Sunday in his first work since he was second June 25 in the Ohio Derby. White Abarrio won the Florida Derby in early April.
Spatz ready for Azalea
The highlight of the coming weekend at Gulfstream is the $75,000 Azalea for fillies and mares. The seven-furlong Azalea could rematch the Ron Spatz duo of Last Leaf and Freedom Speaks, the respective one-two finishers June 18 in the Game Face. Entries were to be drawn late Wednesday.
The next six-figure stakes at Gulfstream are set for Aug. 6 with the opening legs to the Florida Sire Stakes, the $100,000 Dr. Fager and Desert Vixen for Florida-sired 2-year-olds.
