Northview 2013 fees: Not For Love, Jump Start, Smarty Jones remain at 2012 levels

Northview announced its stallion roster and fees for 2013 on Thursday, headlined by leading regional sires Not For Love, Jump Start, and Smarty Jones, as well as E Dubai, sire of Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Fort Larned.

Northview will stand eight stallions at Northview Stallion Station in Chesapeake City, Md., and six at Northview in Peach Bottom, Pa. Northview lowered fees for six of its returning stallions.

Longtime leading Maryland sire Not For Love will maintain his $15,000 fee in 2013. Also standing for the same fee in 2013 will be Pennsylvania stallions Jump Start, $10,000, and Smarty Jones, $7,500.

E Dubai, who is seventh on the general sire list, will stand for $7,500, down from $9,000 in 2012.

Other Northview stallions whose fees will be lower in 2013 are Silver Train ($6,000), Medallist ($2,500), and Fairbanks ($4,500) in Pennsylvania, and in Maryland, Deputy Storm ($2,500) and Bullsbay ($3,000).

Grade 2 winner Redeemedwill stand his first season at stud in Maryland for $3,000. Also standing at Northview in Maryland are Dance with Ravens, $3,000; Great Notion $3,500; Lion Hearted, $3,000, and Street Magician, $3,000.
